Masquerade

Masquerade

This wire sculpture was created for a 3d art class taken at the university of akron in the fall of 2022

Picture a masquerade mask, its intricate design fashioned from the humble strands of three gauges of wire. Each wire, sturdy yet supple, is meticulously bent and twisted into shape, forming an elegant and understated visage that exudes a sense of simplicity and refinement.
The mask, though made from wire, bears a striking resemblance to its more ornate counterparts. Its lines are clean and precise, capturing the essence of classic masquerade aesthetics while retaining a modern flair. The minimalist approach allows the craftsmanship of the wirework to shine, with every curve and angle thoughtfully considered.
This wire creation possesses its own charm. As light dances upon its surface, the wire catches and reflects the subtle glimmers, casting delicate shadows that accentuate its form with a quiet elegance. This piece invites the wearer to embrace the mystery and anonymity of the masquerade, offering a timeless accessory that speaks volumes with its understated beauty and craftsmanship.
