Nest

Nest

This small wax scuplture was created for a 3D art class at the University of Akron in the fall of 2022

Nestled within the delicate embrace of a small, grey wax sculpture lies the essence of nature’s tender nurture. Fashioned with care, the sculpture depicts a serene bird’s nest, its twigs and fibers forming a cradle of gentle curves and subtle textures.
Within this cozy sanctuary, a cluster of eggs rests, their smooth surfaces delicately rendered with a soft sheen. Each egg bears the promise of new life, imbuing the scene with a sense of anticipation and renewal.
The muted grey hue of the wax lends an understated elegance to the sculpture, allowing the intricate details of the nest and eggs to take center stage. Shadows dance playfully across its surface, casting a glow that enhances the sculpture’s natural charm.
This evocative artwork serves as a poignant reminder of the beauty and fragility of life, inviting viewers to pause and marvel at the wonders of the natural world. In its simplicity, it captures the essence of springtime’s promise and the timeless cycle of creation and rebirth.
